New bra pattern!

I am over the moon! My new bra pattern arrived in the post today! It was designed by Dini van Zanten of Danglez in the Netherlands. The pattern - DB4 - is specifically designed for larger cup sizes. I saw a bra made from the pattern on Kisakim's blog and loved it immediately. It has a three-part cup with a diagonal seam in the bottom cup, which I am hoping will provide good support. Kisakim said that the bra gives a "rounded" shape (which I prefer), while she prefers a more "pointy" shape.

The three-piece cup reminds me of one of my favourite "inspiration" bras - a Glamorise lace model with a diagonal seam and bottom cup in two parts.

Sigrid recently published a review of another Danglez pattern, DB5, which has a lovely tapering strap cut in one with the side panel of the cup. She gave it a "highly recommended" rating.

I am putting all other projects on hold so I can start making my new bra! Hope to report back soon!

this seems to be a lovely bra pattern. I visted the site and wondered what is the price of her patterns.

Hi Liana: I paid using my credit card through Paypal (very painless) and it was R167.28 ZAR = €13.35 EUR which included postage. I first tried to go through the bank but they wanted to charge me a R200 fee! Dini of Danglez then signed up for Paypal and it really worked very well; I recommend it. You can email Dini at info at www danglez nl with your measurements and she will recommend the right size for you. (Afrikaans werk goed!) She gives EXCELLENT after-sales service and will help you with fitting issues until the bra fits perfectly. She even sent me an updated pattern for the back band as a PDF file after seeing photos of my bra. Highly recommended!

Just like what Liana said, it's a lovely bra pattern. Even though it looks simple, it accentuates the shape of your breasts if the fitting is right. And talking about your experience with Dini of Danglez, the attention she gave to you from the design phase (even the tiniest of details) down to the payment options is stellar!
